The Study Of Indigenous People Of Australia

Today we are learning about Aboriginal art with Mrs Fonua, we had fun and next time we are started are drafts. Aboriginal Art is used with q-tips and paint. We started off with this Google Drawing and did a lot of research. Now I have learnt more about Aboriginal and before this lesson, I have never heard of Aboriginal Art.

Last week we learnt a lot about Volcanoes because we are thinking about making paper mache volcanoes. We watched a video about volcanoes and answered some questions that Mr Niks gave us.

Making Butter From Cream

Making butter for a science experiment was very fun and interesting to learn. I didn't know how easy it was to make butter and I learnt a lot about raw milk and cows. We got cream and put in the jar then we kept on shaking it until it became butter mixture. After the experiment we put our butter on bread and tried it. It was fun and exciting, I can't wait to do another one throughout the term.

Whole Class Science Experience

Yesterday we were told that Glen Taylor Schools Inquiry this term is Science and Mr Raj was kind enough to get a planet toy and it tells us about each planet and it spins around. We also watched a video that showed us more information about planets!

For our last Cyber smart lesson, Mrs Collin gave us our own slide that we have to complete by the end of the term. I tried my best and I may get some of these things wrong.

Term 1 Team Building Exercises

For the start of the year and for all the new students to get a long with us, Mr Raj chose the Marshmallow and Spaghetti stick challenge. We got put into groups of 4 or 5 and the winner got to chose what they wanted.

Fun With Water

We has some fun with water last week Wednesday. We found out a lot of new things about water and I was really interested in water.

First Buddy Class-Making Kites

Yesterday was Room 12's first buddy class of the year. Our buddy class this year is Room 5. We made kites yesterday and my buddy was Bernard. We had fun making our kites and flying them.

Dare to be different is about how you want to be different but still have some things in common and remember BE YOURSELF!

2019 !

Here we are in 2019 ! 2018 has gone so fast I can even remember every single part. I am now a senior and in Mr Raj's class. I can't wait to share more learning on my blog and met new people. I have a fun year coming up. I might be going to camp this year, going Technology every Wednesday but even better Tech is in the morning now at Tamaki College. I really want to go better in Math and Spelling because I feel like the holidays has made me forget everything about it. I still have a lot more learning to share that is all I have to say for now !

Growth Mindset

PB4L

Growth Mindset is all about trying new things and knowing what you are doing right and wrong. I really liked Growth Mindset because it helped me learn what I am doing wrong and what I should do next time!

Film Festival 2018

Confidence Camp is about 2 girls who does not like getting attention and get sadly gets sent to Confidence Camp. They learnt how to get along with kids and learnt who to speak in front of an audience. My group came up with Confidence Camp because one of the girls in my group went to Confidence Camp in real life!

This week Room 12 was just noticed that our Assembly was this week. We were put under a lot of stress but managed to run through it. Our assembly has became a big success and we had a lot of fun.

Last Term, Room 12 made a Mint Crisp Tart from Africa. We are very proud of what we have made and it was very delicious.

Trip To Maritime Museum

On Tuesday we went to Maritime Museum and we had a lot of fun! When we got there we met or caregiver of the day...RYAN! 

He helped us on Tuesday and we had fun on the boat.
