Tips For Blog Commenting

WALT: Write quality blog comments.
For Cybersmart today, we looked into how to write a good comment and what the qualities are for a good comment. After looking into what makes a great comment, we watched a video made by Point England School to see what tips they can give us about making a good comment.
Here is my poster about tips for making a good blog comment. Remember to be positive, helpful and thoughtful

Private or Public

For Cybersmart this week, Ms Collins gave us a task of cut and copying each statement on either it would be safe to post or to keep it private. It was very challenging for me and my friends but we got through it and we are proud of it. After that, we saw what was suppose to be in the green and red column. I got most of it wrong but I am still proud of myself.

Digital Dig

Digital Dig
For our last Cyber smart lesson, Mrs Collin gave us our own slide that we have to complete by the end of the term. I tried my best and I may get some of these things wrong.

Blog Profile 2019

Hi my name is Alanna. I am a year 7 attending Glen Taylor School and I am in Room 12. I am Samoan and I am 11 years old.  I have one sister and one brother. Mr Raj is my teacher for 2019. When I grow older I really want to be photographer and share my cool photos with the world. I also want to own an art Museum with all my photos.

I think that I am good Math and I really enjoy learning new skills. I challenge myself to learn more tips and skills about the explanation writing structure. My goal for the year is too learn all about decimals and fraction but besides math it is too increase my skills in reading.

My role model is my brother because he is very confident and he listens to other people's ideas. My brother made his name known very well at this school, so that makes me want to follow in his footsteps. I am very excited to be sharing my important learning on my blog and to make new friends throughout the year.

My name is Alanna and is a year 6 currently attending Glen Taylor School. This year I have the beautiful Miss Siale as my teacher and in Room 12. Some of my favourite hobbies are to sing, chill, do homework, talk to friends and listen to music!

I am so excited for this year and is ready for the big competition ahead of me. My favourite subject is Maths because some how it is fun and I know it is a big challenge but in Maths I am just focused and onto my work!

My goal this year is to improve in Reading because Reading is not my biggest strength but I try hard.

That is it for now and make sure to come and check out my blog throughout the year!

Chromebook For Life

When I was showing my slide deck to my Mum I felt nervous that she was gonna say that I am not responsible to take my Chromebook home. I was also nervous that my teacher was gonna say that I was not responsible to take my Chromebook home. Luckily both of them didn't say that. Overall I felt happy and nervous. #First Day #Chromefree.

When I got home the first thing I did was that I cheeked my homework and what I had to do. #Chromefree #Second Day

This Is a photo of me sitting down with my Chromebook on a flat surface and no food around me. #Chromefree #Right Place #Right Time #Third Day

Hello Everyone

Jun 7, 2017 9:38:54 AM.jpg
Hi my name is Alanna. I am a year six attending Glen Taylor School  and I am in Room 12. I am Samoan and I am ten years old.  I have one sister and one brother. My favourite colour is rose gold and pink. My talent is running. My best friends are Anaysha and Danielle - you should check their blogs out!
I’m excited to be sharing a lot of my learning on my blog. I am good at reading and I will try my best to improve in my reading by the end of the year. One of my goals this year is to get to a higher level in my maths. I am going to challenge myself with my maths because I am not the best at it but I will try my best.
I really enjoy learning in my own time as well. I am good at running and I have won first place in cross country three years in a row.
This year I am looking forward to my new class, seeing what my teacher is like and making new friends. I also can’t wait until we take our Chromebooks home. I look up to my brother because he has helped me all year round and he is always there for me. That’s all I have to say, and I hope you enjoy my blog!
