STEM Cards - Small Umbrella & Egg Drop

This week we have started doing STEM Cards. STEM stands for - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. There are over 54 activities to choose from! 

I chose to do the Small Umbrella and Egg Drop activities. I learnt that art and crafts can be very very hard especially when you have to use your imagination and no instructions or video to learn from.

I chose these activities because I had the materials to do them and they looked very interesting!

Week In Review

This week I have learnt more about Percentages, Fractions and Decimals. 

This week we celebrated Cook Island Language Week by changing our bell to a Cook Island song and watching some videos on how and what Cook Islands do and how they live.

We had special guest coming this week and showing us how to keep the environment safe and clean! They were called the Tread Lightly Caravan!

SMART Goals Term 3

My SMART Goal for Term 3, is kind of the same as Term 2's goal.

 I still haven't achieved this goal but I still hope that I will.

 I will achieve this goal with hard work .

Egyptian and Roman Numerals

For Maths, we had to translate Egyptian and Roman numerals to the numbers we use today. Did you know that it is good to know Egyptian numerals for Mummy Week and it is also good to know Roman numerals for reading clocks and the Bible.

Basic Facts Is Hard

So, today I took a test for my Basic Facts but online. I got timed and I was worried. The time went to fast and for some of the questions I didn't get to answer them.

I am positive that I will do better for my real test. Above is my certificates from the test. 

Top marks

"Top marks", is a math website that I go on to learn maths. Sometimes my teacher puts up a top marks game for us to play. I like playing top marks because it really helps me with my math and I learn new things.

Fact Families

For homework this week we had to play a game called Fact Families. When I started playing I thought that it was kind of hard but then I played it for a bit longer and I got the hand of it.

$Money, Money and Money$

Today for math Miss Ly put us in groups of three and 1 was for a runner another one was for the writer and the last one was for the giver. It was hard and easy but mainly fun. We had to count all the money and add up the total.
