Growth Mindset is all about trying new things and knowing what you are doing right and wrong. I really liked Growth Mindset because it helped me learn what I am doing wrong and what I should do next time!

Film Festival 2018

Confidence Camp is about 2 girls who does not like getting attention and get sadly gets sent to Confidence Camp. They learnt how to get along with kids and learnt who to speak in front of an audience. My group came up with Confidence Camp because one of the girls in my group went to Confidence Camp in real life!

Fireworks Around The World!

Reading about fireworks made me more curious about how other countries celebrate or use fireworks. The most interesting country that I think use the best fireworks is New York!

BTS Trouble

Reading a article about BTS made me learn a lot more about BTS than I knew.

BTS is an amazing K-pop band and make very creative backgrounds for the songs. 

Room 12's Assembly

This week Room 12 was just noticed that our Assembly was this week. We were put under a lot of stress but managed to run through it. Our assembly has became a big success and we had a lot of fun.

Trip To Maritime Museum

On Tuesday we went to Maritime Museum and we had a lot of fun! When we got there we met or caregiver of the day...RYAN! 

He helped us on Tuesday and we had fun on the boat.

Quick Write W6

To start of the week Room 12 did a quick write and Miss Siale did not do a image she did a question.

The question was What superpower would you like for 24 hours and why?

I did reading minds.

First Bus Stop Of The Term

For the first bus stop of the term I won 2 rounds and Miss Siale won the rest! I tried my best and I am so happy that I beat Miss Siale. Better Luck Next Time..

Basic Facts

Today I did an online basic facts test and I did 2-9 time tables and got 100% in 4 minutes 10 seconds.

Tuataras

 Tuataras are mainly found on one island called Stephens Island in Cook Strait. They eat little insects and wild cats, rodents and pigs are the predators for Tuataras.

Camera Angles And Shots

Today we went outside and did different angles and shots. I was not here so that is why I am not in the pictures. I guesses the shots and I got them alright!

Country Studies

Yesterday Mrs Faalili gave some Room 12 students a challenge! We had to choose a country and answer the questions about your country! I choose France..

Kia O Rahi

Kia O Rahi is Glen Taylor Schools kixi sport for term 3! We watched the legend about Rahi then we got put into two teams and did a warm up. After the warm up we played the real game but sadly my team lost!

Room 12's Favourite Number

In Room 12 each person choose one subject that they want to make into a graph. We wrote it down in our book and went to each group to mark 1 of the subjects. My subject was "Room 12's Favourte Number." The most votes on my graph was the number 7!

Toitoi Writing

For Toitoi books, Room 12 published 1 piece of writing to submit and my story was a scary story and it was called The Cursed Hallway! I hope it makes the Toitoi Book and I am really excited to see if it does!

Tuesday Morning Typing Test

This Morning, Room 12 did a class typing test for group points. The story we did was Tigers In The Wild and we all tried to get 0 errors. I was not one of the winners but I tried my best!

For the first day of the term. Miss Siale challenged us to find 3 or 4 things that describes YOU! I found a fan and said that "When a fan is turned on, it brings cold air. This fan describes me because I am always cold!"

Word Problems Week 10

Today for Maths I did 5 word problems and solved it by using multiplication. 

Sumdog

Sumdog

Sumdog is a very fun Math game that Room 12 loves to play! In Sumdog you play games but have to answer a Math question to get it right. You get money from playing games and with the money you can buy yourself outfits for your character and house furniture.

Toitoi Drawing

This drawing is for a Toitoi publishing. I did not trace it and this piece of writing is the best I have drawn.

Prodigy

Prodigy is a new math game that Jordan showed room 12. You have to level up and answer math questions. I am on level 53!

Speed Skills

Today for a class warm up, Room 12 did Speed Skills Maths Online and it was fun.  It put to much pressure on me but my highest is 21!

Word Problems W7

Starting from this week I am going to be all my word problems from this week on a drawing. So for this week I had to choose 6 word problems and show how I worked them out!

A Thought Of A Gorilla

Recently Miss Siale has shown Room 12 a box full of pictures and questions at the back. So for Reading today, I chose a picture and answered the questions at the back. I named the picture, A Thought Of A Gorilla.

Follow Up Activity

Viola Vincent Reporting is about Viola's best friend dying and nobody cares. It is a sad book but entertaining.

When I went to the Poetry Workshop these are the things that I liked about it and what I wished happened.

Anti Bullying

This is for a short film that Room 12 is doing but in groups. It is to help people to stop bullying. We will be filming this and this is only a draft. I can't wait till to see the finished film!

Typing Test

Every morning in Room 12 we have a typing test challenge! Sometimes I win sometimes I don't.  

If you get 0 errors and come top three, you get points.

Boggle

Boggle, Boggle is an writing activity that my class does. It helps you to find  as many words as you can in a few minutes. My highest amount of words is 22!

Road Safety

Yesterday for L,C,S. We watched a short clip about road safety, after watching the film we got a mini message and we had to write a short message about road safety.

Love Uexpected

For writing, Miss Siale read a short story about A Mother With One Eye. After the story Miss Siale made the whole class write a poem about the story. My poem is called Love Unexpected

Today for Reading, we had to read a book for 20mins then using the Reading Task Cards you would have to choose 3 of the Task Cards and complete them on a google drawing.

Poppy Sale

One of our task for ANZAC was to create a poppy for sale poster. This poster was really fun and creative work to do!

ANZAC DIAMANTE POEM

Yesterday for writing, Room 12 learnt how to do a diamante poem and then we had to create one about ANZAC day because this week our learn, create share focus is ANZAC. A diamante poem has 6 nouns, 4 adjectives and 6 verbs. The photo above shows my diamante poem.

ANZAC Day

Today for Writing, Miss Siale made a padlet and named it "Hearing the audio being played what comes to mind?"
Miss Siale played "The Last Post" and while we listened to the audio we had to record on the padlet what came to you mind. After that Miss Siale gave us some Phrases we had to answer.

The Beautiful Room 12

Thos week we didn't get homework but I love homework so I made up my own, I decided to make a google slide on my classroom. This slide shows how Room 12 shows the values and the school visions but it also shows some information about Miss Siale!

Maya Angelou

Today is Maya Angelou birthday and my poster has some information bout her on it. RIP Maya, We all love you and appreciate what you have done for us!

Typing Test Score

Everyday Room 12 does a whole class typing test to see how we have improved on out typing. If you get zero Errors and get top 3 then your table group gets points, for my score I got zero errors but other people has higher than me in the Adjusted Speed so that means that I didn't place and we don't get points for the whole class typing test.

For typingtest we have scores for our table groups,

1st: 200

2nd: 150

3rd: 100

Shoe-Shi

For Reading, I read a story about sushi that has transformed in a shoe-shi! This incredible person made sushi into a shoe, the shoe is small but creative! 

Polyfest

For Reading, I choose an article about Polyfest to read and answered these questions. Every year ASB holds this awesome pasfika competition called polyfest. Polyfest is where schools from around Auckland make an pasfika dance and shows their creation on stage in front of a lot of people. Polyfest is a competition and there is more then one prize to win!

Camping

Today for Reading, I read this story about camping, For my activity I choose 3 Reading Task Cards and completed them.
